BIO

The project is led by Vemund Barstad Bermingrud and Synne Skjulstad. Every piece of jewellery is the result of our collaboration. While some pieces are created in an instant, others are the result of longer processes. Combining our skills, interests, and aesthetic sensibilities, each piece reflects this close collaboration. The result is also at times a very messy living room. 

Vemund Barstad Bermingrud collects things, including pieces of marine plastic debris. He works as a project leader for a publishing house. 

Synne Skjulstad holds a Ph.D in media and communication studies from the University of Oslo, currently working as associate professor in communication, design and fashion media at Westerdals, Kristiania University College in Oslo. 

Seabling is part of an artistic research approach to communication, design, consumption and sustainability.
